In 1813, coffee tree was introduced to Hawaii for the first time. This tree was a symbol of hope, prosperity and wealth that King had for his people. As the cherries of the tree began to blossom, it took on the characteristics of Hawaii’s radiant sun, tropical breeze, luscious rain, and the spirit of Hawaii called “Aloha.” The fruit of this tree fascinated the warm hearts of the Hawaiian people.
